A letter of thanks

Here is a letter of thanks from the Taylor family.

Dear Friends,

To put a pen to paper to try and begin to thank you for all that you have done to help our family seems as it will never be enough to show our thanks . We find it very difficult to put into words the gratitude our family shares for your kindness and generosity.

As our family gathered helpless and hopeless watching our family home burn, through our sadness we remained thankful that we all remained safe and healthy. That night we all did our best to see our futures in a positive place, but as you could imagine it was nearly impossible to do. The fire left us with very little to work with in the way of rebuilding. Luckily, the foundation of the home is salvageable and as we rebuild our home it will be on the foundation where we shared many family memories. Over the days and weeks following the fire as we were trying to digest all that was happening, we experienced such an outpouring of support that it was unimaginable. Because of this we began to gain confidence that we could rebound from this devastation. We couldn't begin to imagine where we would be today without your donations of food, clothes, furniture, toys or money and most of all your prayers. We still to this day are so amazed, overwhelmed and extremely thankful for the provision and favor of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, shown through the kindness and support from each and every one  you.

Currently we are staying in a family member’s rental home, with furniture to enjoy, clothes to wear and warm blankets at night. We are all together, happy, healthy and optimistic about returning to our home in Prairie Creek in the near future. We are on a long road, but we are working hard and saving toward the rebuilding of our home with the hopes to celebrate Thanksgiving 2011 in our family home once again. As you can imagine this has been a long journey so far but an experience that has strengthened our faith in the Creator of all things to provide for our needs. As a need becomes known  He has been faithful to provide for us through those who have touched our lives in such a meaningful way. None of this would be possible without the amount of support and prayer we have received from all of you and for that we will be forever grateful! Please continue to support us in this endeavor with your prayers asking that God will continue to bless us with His favor and provide us His strength when ours is fading.

From the bottom of our hearts we thank you! And may God bless you as richly as he has blessed us with you.

Blessed in His Grace,

I need your help

Well this is not exactly the way I would have wanted to start my first blog but this is the best way I know how to help.  I've created this blog to raise money for a family who needs our help.  My in laws house caught fire and the damage is extensive.  They have very little money and no home insurance, they have lost everything.  You can imagine how devastated they are.  See the chip in donation site on the right side of my blog to donate money.  If you can't give any money they need the following items.  Thank you to everyone who have already reached out to help us.  Keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.

Beds and frames (1 Queen, 2 Full & 2 Twin)
Sheets and bedding for all sizes above
Towels, wash cloths & hand towels
All toiletries - toothpaste, soap etc
Dining room table and chairs
